Photos really cannot do this lake the justice it deserves, it has to be seen to realise its beauty.
The Definition of Tranquility
9 acres in size and set in the beautiful French countryside, nestled amongst fields and forest. The only thing to keep you awake at night is the wildlife and the slapping of the catfish tails.
The birdsong during the day and the frog chorus during the night are spectacular. As you will see from the map below there are no roads within the vicinity of the lake.

This truly is a place for you to unwind and relax. Privacy, peace and tranquility interrupted only by screaming runs are what to expect when you book this lake for your holiday.
There are plenty of features to fish on this lake, with overhanging trees on the far bank and the dam wall, and reed beds around the edge.
The depths range from 3ft around the edge, to the deepest areas of around 12ft. The bottom of the lake is a sandy/gravel bottom with silt areas around the tree lines.
Pleasure Lake Facilities
For your comfort whilst fishing there are facilities for showering as well as a flush toilet and enough room to change. Outside is an enclosed shelter which has 3 small fridges for food and drink only, a sink with hot and cold water (non-drinkable) and a cooker. All cooking utensils such as pots and pans, mugs, plates, cutlery etc are included. There are power points for charging bait boat batteries, laptops and mobile phones between the hours of 9am to 5pm each day. The far side bank also has a charging point available which is suitable for 2 anglers. The near and far banks have Social Nash Bankside Shelters available to use. Each swim has it’s own table/bench. If required, a BBQ can be supplied. A rowing boat is available for snagged fish, retrieving bait boats or pre-baiting. The buoyancy jacket supplied must be worn at all times when using the boat.
There are no freezers at the lake. The fridges are for food and drink use only.
PLEASE NOTE Cold water is not suitable for drinking.
Lake Information
The average size carp in the lake is now 37lb+. This is a very rich lake and we have seen the stock growing at a good rate each year. The stock consists of mirror carp up to 66lb along with catfish up to 117lb. There are also common carp over 50lb, grass carp up to 47lb plus a mandarin catfish which makes for an unusual photo.
The fishing at Pleasure Lake France is perfect, with no Poisson Chat to bother you and no weed.
There are 5 swims on the lake which are along the 2 banks catering for 5 anglers on the lake. There is 1 double swim on the far bank and 3 single swims on the facility side.
To access the far side bank there is a walk along a path of around 140 yards. Barrows are supplied to enable you to easily carry across your fishing equipment.
All swims are within easy walking distance of the facilities area and car park, and easily accessible for unloading your gear. There are weigh pods to make the weighing of your fish easier.
There is a dartboard and darts available for use on the facilities side.
Please Note: Only bait boats are allowed on the lake, no other boats of any description.
